[Resolved] Our site is in 3 languages, the 3rd language is Hungarian, recently all hungarian page content are w...
This thread is resolved. Here is a description of the problem and solution.
Problem: The client reported that on their multilingual site, specifically the Hungarian pages, content was not displaying properly. Entrance animations were not visible, and the header navigation, although functional, was not visible. This issue was not present in the English and German versions of the site. The problem was observed only by logged-out or guest users, while logged-in users could view everything normally. Solution: We initially suggested checking for common issues such as cache, server, or browser problems. However, the client discovered that the issue was due to a conflict with the 'CookieYes' plugin. Once the client deactivated this plugin, the Hungarian pages began to display correctly, including the entrance animations and header navigation.
If you're experiencing similar issues, we recommend checking for any plugin conflicts by deactivating plugins one by one to see if the problem resolves. Additionally, ensure that your site's cache is cleared and that you are using the latest versions of all plugins and themes. For more detailed steps, you can refer to our documentation on troubleshooting WPML.
Please note that this solution might be irrelevant if it's outdated or not applicable to your specific case. If the issue persists, we highly recommend checking related known issues at https://wpml.org/known-issues/, verifying the version of the permanent fix, and confirming that you have installed the latest versions of themes and plugins. If needed, do not hesitate to open a new support ticket with us for further assistance at WPML support forum.
This is the technical support forum for WPML - the multilingual WordPress plugin.
Everyone can read, but only WPML clients can post here. WPML team is replying on the forum 6 days per week, 22 hours per day.
Background of the issue:
Our site is in 3 languages, with Hungarian as the 3rd language. Recently, all Hungarian page content became invisible. The site URL is hidden link. We had a working site, and recently we started to experience issues with the Hungarian translated pages and header. In English and German translations, everything works fine, but the Hungarian pages don't show content properly. All content with entrance animations stays hidden, and the media translator is picky. The header navigation is there and working but not visible. All Hungarian pages are involved. I tried a lot of threads where the problem was similar, searched in the WPML forum, Elementor, Reddit, and GitHub. None of them seem to help. When I add custom CSS 'elementor-invisible' class to 'visibility: visible !important', the texts are working. If I set every text block to entering animation set to none, the texts are showing up. In the English and German versions, the animations on the texts are working.
Symptoms:
Hungarian pages don't show content properly, entrance animations stay hidden, and header navigation is not visible.
Questions:
How can I resolve the issue with Hungarian pages not displaying content properly?
Why are entrance animations not working on Hungarian pages but working on English and German pages?
Thanks for contacting us. I've checked your Hungarian page here hidden link and it's displaying fine as shown in the attached screenshot. Did you figure it out yourself?
I just forced with css in the home page and in the rólunk page to show, but it's not a optimal solution please check any other Hungarian page to see the issue. The animations are still. The issue is persistent.
One more thing logged in users can see everything properly, admin editor view is works as well. Onli logged out/guest users can't see the Hungarian pages.
Please advise
I will need to closely examine your website. Therefore, I will require temporary access (WP-Admin and FTP) to a test site where the problem has been replicated, if possible. This will enable me to provide better assistance and determine if any configurations need to be modified.
Please note that it is important to have a backup for security purposes and to prevent any potential data loss. You can use the UpdraftPlus plugin (https://wordpress.org/plugins/updraftplus/) to fulfill your backup requirements.
Your upcoming reply will be treated with confidentiality and will only be visible to you and me.
✙ To resolve the issue, I may need your consent to deactivate and reactivate plugins and the theme, as well as make configuration changes on the site if necessary. This emphasizes the significance of having a backup.
I've cleared Elementor Cache using the option shown in the attached screenshot. Then, clearing my browser cache fixes it as shown in the attached screenshot. Could you check?
The problem is stil there. i would be very suprised if a simple cashe flash would be a fix, i tried multiple times, i also deactivated all cashing plugins, and page boosters.
Well i dont know what is the problem, first it was only an issue on safari, and on apple devices, then i captured a moment in chrome incognito mode, and from there the problem is persistant. when logged in there is no problem, only as guest visitor(Logged out) i'm experiencing the isuue. Which is quite a big bum since we want potential clients to buy, and if they cant see our texts that is a problem. What i find if after deleting cookies then refresh, accept cookies, refresh the site is allright in normal mode (not incognito) as guest. But thets not a normal user usage, and not a high end user experience.
Maybe try it in some cross browser testing program in safary.
attached a sceenshot, i just saved it now after clearing cookies from browser: hidden link
Thanks for your reply. I tested it on Safari the first time and it shows empty. Then, clicking on the refresh button fixes it. Could you please check with your hosting provider? I believe there is some kind of cache going on in the server.
Thank you for responding. However, I'm uncertain, but this type of problem typically involves issues with the cache, server, website, or browser. Please let me know how it goes.
It works fine when I checked with Google Chrome on Windows 11 PC, Chrome MAC, Safari and Firefox MAC. Here is a screen recording for our reference. hidden link
Well I can see that at your end it is working, but in our end we still experiencing the same problem as before, I checked with 3 different devices 2 PC and a mobile in chrome incognito and normal mode. However I get different result each time, sometime there is the issue sometimes it's working as it should.
If I delete cookies the site is go this without text mode but only on Hungarian.
I love to chat with you, but I would like to get closer to a solution here. What else can cause this kind of problems, where only one language involved, cookies are involved, animated texts are involved. In some pages you can see the text that are not animated are showing even when all other texts are missing.
I know that hard to find solution for a problem what you can't see. So let's just think what can be the problem.
