This thread is resolved. Here is a description of the problem and solution.

Problem:
The client is experiencing an issue where the button text on a Loop template page displays in Spanish, despite the page not being translated. The button text 'Read More' does not reflect the default language when displayed on the front end.
Solution:
We recommend checking the translation settings for your post types and language switcher. First, navigate to WPML->Settings->Post Types Translations and ensure that the pages are set to Translatable - only show translated items. This setting helps in displaying content only in the translated language without falling back to the default language if a translation is not available.
Next, go to WPML->Languages->Language Switchers and check the option for How to handle languages without translation. Make sure that "Skip languages" is enabled. This setting prevents the display of languages that do not have translations.

If these adjustments do not resolve the issue, or if the solution seems outdated or not applicable to your case, we highly recommend checking related known issues at https://wpml.org/known-issues/, verifying the version of the permanent fix, and confirming that you have installed the latest versions of themes and plugins. If the problem persists, please open a new support ticket with us for further assistance.

The "What site do you need help with" field is not editable and will not let me include the proper information.

On this page (hidden link), we have a Loop template with an image, text, and button that opens dynamically pulls in posts. The button text is set to "Read More," however on the front end, it displays in Spanish even though the page has not been translated. I have tried deleting the button and recreating it, but it appears the same way. Please help.

Hi there!

This is Paola and I will leave a first reply before one of my colleagues take the ticket.

I have visited the page and it appears correctly.

Just to let you know when I clicked on Read more button the link doesn´t work, so please go to the template and make sure that the link is added correctly.

Hi Paola! I apologize for the delay. I never got a notification of your reply. Very strange.

It appears the issue has fixed itself (??), but I am seeing another issue. Even though the page is not translated (screenshot 1), the language toggle is appearing in the top right corner of our site (screenshot 2). We're using the shortcode ([wpml_language_selector_widget]) and my understanding is that it only appears on translated pages. Can you explain that?

Hello there,

I will check this issue further.

Can you go to WPML->Settings->Post Types Translations and check if the pages are set as Translatable - use translation if available or fallback to default language If yes, please set it to Translatable - only show translated items

Also, can you go to WPML->Languages->Language Switchers ->How to handle languages without translation and "Skip languages" is enabled.

Look forward to your reply.

Thanks

Thank you, Shekhar! That first suggestion fixed the issue I was seeing on the Company News page. Happy New Year!
