This thread is resolved. Here is a description of the problem and solution.
Problem:
You are working on a site and need to use different shortcodes and Page-Builder Elements for different languages, but currently, you can only find options for literal translation of text blocks. You are also unsure how to switch back to having separate English and German pages that can be edited and switched, how to abort a translation process, and whether some pages can be auto-translated while others are manually translated.
Solution:
1. Switching Back to Split-Page Mode: To use the traditional method of having separate English and German pages:
- Go to WPML > Translation Management.
- Select the page you want to translate.
- Choose the "Duplicate" option for the page.
- Edit the duplicated page in the secondary language (German in your case) and make the necessary changes. This allows you to use the page builder that you have used in the default language, giving you full control.

2. Aborting the Translation Process: If you started the translation process but want to cancel it:
- Go to WPML > Translation Management > Jobs.
- Find the translation job you want to cancel and click on the "Cancel" button.
3. Auto-Translating Some Pages and Manually Translating Others: Yes, it is possible to auto-translate some pages and manually translate others:
- For auto-translation, use WPML > Translation Management > Automatic Translation.
- For manual translation, follow the traditional method as mentioned above.
4. Using ChatGPT or Other AI for Translations: Currently, WPML does not support integration with ChatGPT, Claude, or similar AI tools for translations. However, WPML uses various translation engines, and you can configure your preferred one under WPML > Settings > Translation Engine.
