Background of the issue:
I have some patterns (previously known as reusable blocks) on my site. Since a WP update, patterns are no longer editable inline, instead you get an 'Edit original' action. When using Edit page on a translation, any patterns will display in their original language, even if the front end has the right language.

Symptoms:
When I click 'Edit original' from Edit page for a translation, I still see the original language. The sidebar shows the option to edit the original language under the Language section, even though it seems to think I am viewing the translation.
Questions:
Why are patterns displaying in their original language when editing a translation in the block editor?
Why does the sidebar show the option to edit the original language when I am viewing the translation in the block editor?
