This thread is resolved. Here is a description of the problem and solution.
Problem:
The client reported two main issues: first, some translations remained pending and couldn't be initiated, and second, some pages showed as 100% auto-translated in the backend, but still displayed in English on the Arabic version of the site. Additionally, some string translations displayed a settings icon instead of a pencil icon, preventing editing.
Solution:
We requested the client to confirm they had a full backup of their site. After receiving confirmation and authorization to proceed, we performed tests including deactivating and activating plugins and themes. The solution involved flushing the cache memory and sending the strings for automatic translation again. We advised the client to disable the cache memory until the translation process was completed and then reactivate it.
If this solution does not resolve your issue, or if it seems outdated or irrelevant to your case, we highly recommend checking related known issues at https://wpml.org/known-issues/, verifying the version of the permanent fix, and confirming that you have installed the latest versions of themes and plugins.
