I was able to find the error in the logs and then was able to grab a database dump. I've escalated the issue again to our 2nd tier team for a review. I'll update you as soon as I hearback. Please keep the access to the site open (as you provided recently).

Our team has published an errata at https://wpml.org/errata/php-warning-preg_match-unknown-modifier/ with a possible workaround. Please take a look and apply the proposed (temporary) solution and let me know if it works for you or not.
