This thread is resolved. Here is a description of the problem and solution.

Problem:
You are trying to configure WPML for manual translation on your site, but when you attempt to add a translation manually, it translates automatically and does not save the page in the other language as intended.
Solution:
If the Advanced Translation Editor (ATE) is enabled, it will automatically translate all content. If you prefer manual translation, you can undo the automatic translation by clicking the "Undo Translation" button. If the translation is complete but you cannot access the translated page from the frontend, follow these steps:
1. Navigate to Settings > Permalinks in your WordPress Dashboard.
2. Resave the permalink structure to flush it and resolve access issues.

If this solution does not apply to your case because it might be outdated or not relevant, we recommend checking related known issues at https://wpml.org/known-issues/, verifying the version of the permanent fix, and confirming that you have installed the latest versions of themes and plugins. If issues persist, please open a new support ticket at WPML support forum for further assistance.

Background of the issue:
I am trying to configure WPML for manual translation on my site hidden link. I go to the Pages tab in WordPress and click to add the translation, but it doesn't work.

Symptoms:
The plugin is not working correctly. I selected the option for manual translation in the settings, but it is translating automatically and it is not saving the page on another language that i want to be translated.

Questions:
Can you help me fix the issue where WPML is translating automatically instead of manually?
Why is WPML not saving the page in the other language for manual translation?

Hello There,
Thanks for contacting WPML Support.

I understand what you're looking for. If the Advanced Translation Editor is enabled on your site, it will automatically attempt to translate all content based on the available credits during the translation process. This is a default feature of ATE. However, if you prefer not to have the content translated automatically, you can undo the translation by clicking the "Undo Translation" button, as shown in this screenshot: hidden link

If the translation is complete, a translated page should be created in the other language. If you can see the page in the backend but are unable to access it from the frontend, please try the following steps:

- Please go to "Settings > Permalinks" from your Dashboard.
- Resave the permalink structure.

This will flush the permalink structure and hopefully, will solve the issue. But, if you need further assistance, feel free to let me know. I will be happy to help.

Best regards,
Prosenjit
