I use some taxonomy that have the same slug in different languages. I found a solution for it by changing the slug afterwards via quick-edit. But now when surfing to the frontend categorypage it isn't showing posts. And I see in the frontend black-wp-adminbar the edit button is reffering to another language all to the french version
At the moment it's not possible to use the same slug in different languages for taxonomies.
Editing the categories with "quick edit" might work in some cases, but it's not an official workaround exactly because we cannot guarantee it works in every scenario.
We are aware of this issue and we're working on it, but we can't give at this moment an estimated date for when it will be fixed, because it's not as easy as it might seem.
The only thing we can suggest is to translate the slug or to append the language code to it, which is the default behavior.
