Background of the issue:
I am trying to use WPML's automatic translation feature to translate a page on my site, hidden link. I attempted the translation process twice.

Symptoms:
The page was never translated, and the translation process debited the account twice.

Questions:
Why was the page not translated after using automatic translation twice?
Why were the translation credits debited from my account twice?

Why did the translation of forms stop working correctly? Most of the forms were translated without problems, the last one freezes in the process or is not translated at all. I had to translate manually using string translation

And so, I see I will have to wait a very long time for an answer.
so I'll translate the page myself manually. This means that for 2 auto translations of this page you must return the credits, since apart from one title, nothing was translated!!!

Hello,

Our apologies for the delay in answering on your request.

I can see on our system that the page hidden link was charged 6 times 1244 credits when translating it from English to Spanish.

This is very unsusual and usually should not happen. I would need to investgiate what is causing this issue, so that we can prevent it from happening again on your site.

It looks to me as if you actually never confirmed each segment inside the editor, is this correct?

Let me explain with more detail:

It is usually impossible that you get charged twice for same translation, as the translation memory will auto-complete any identical segment that already has been translated earlier.

Even if you would delete the translations and send them again to translation, you should not get charged any credits, unless you changed the original content in the meantime.

Also, if you use the translation mode "Translate what you choose" then the WPML Advanced Translation Editor will display automatic translations by default, but those will only get charged, if you begin to confirm each segment.

It is like a preview, that displays how a automatic translation would appear. Once you confirm a segment, the translation is saved inside translation memory.

You can disable the "Automatic Translation By Default" feature in the top bar of the WPML Advanced Translation Editor.

If I now open the latest job for this content, I do still see dotted line between each segment. The segments are translated automatically but they are not confirmed and this is why they are not yet saved.

I am not fully sure what caused this issue or how to exactly reproduce it, but I have credited 6220 credits to your account.

Please help me to understand what happened here. Did you maybe close the Advanced Translation Editor like 5 times without accepting the segments?

Best regards
Andreas
