Background of the issue:
I am trying to use WPML Sticky Links with Elementor on my site hidden link. I followed the documentation at https://wpml.org/errata/wpml-sticky-links-deprecated-error-on-php-8-x/ to fix a fatal error but it did not work. I deactivated the WPML Sticky Links plugin and now the site works.
Symptoms:
Using WPML Sticky Links with Elementor causes a fatal error (HTTP 500). The site can no longer be edited and some Elementor elements disappear.
Questions:
How can we fix the issue with WPML Sticky Links and Elementor without deactivating the plugin?
