This thread is resolved. Here is a description of the problem and solution.

Problem:
The client added a Dutch language to their website and noticed that the Elementor widget "Product Categories" was not translating the categories on the product category pages, even after translating all categories.
Solution:
1. We asked the client to confirm that the translated categories were correctly linked to the translated products.
2. We reminded the client that in WooCommerce, categories without products do not appear on the frontend.
3. We instructed the client to ensure that products were translated and categories assigned to them.
4. If the translated categories still did not appear, we advised the client to go to "WooCommerce > WooCommerce Multilingual > Categories" and click on the "Synchronize Product categories assignment in content" button to synchronize the categories.

Hi,

On our website - hidden link we have recently added Dutch language.

The pages of the different product categories are driven by a template but the Elementor widget "Product Categories" is not translated with it.

English page - hidden link
Dutch page - hidden link

I have already translated all categories thinking that this would solve the problem but unfortunately this is not the case.

Thanks in advance for the help!

Hello There,
Thanks for contacting WPML Support.

I understand the issue you're having and will try my best to assist you in this matter.

Based on the screenshots provided, it appears you've selected to display Sub Categories in the section, with "Storage and Distribution" chosen as the Parent category. Given your indication that the Categories have been accurately translated, could you please check and confirm that the translated category is appropriately linked to the translated products?

In WooCommerce, product categories that do not contain any products typically do not appear on the frontend by default. So, please ensure that the Product has been translated and categories have been assigned to them.

If the translated categories are not appearing on the frontend despite being assigned to translated products, please navigate to "WooCommerce > WooCommerce Multilingual > Categories." At the bottom of the page, there's a button labeled "Synchronize Product categories assignment in content." Click on that button and wait till the Category synchronization process is completed.

Please let me know the update. I will be happy to help if you need further assistance in this matter.

Best regards,
Prosenjit

Hi Prosenjit,
Thank you for your quick response.

Adding the Dutch translation of the products has allowed me to select the categories, thanks for that!
