This thread is resolved. Here is a description of the problem and solution.

Problem:
The client is experiencing issues where posts are not appearing in search results in the secondary language when using Elementor+Pro and WPML main plugin, even after switching to a default theme and disabling other plugins.
Solution:
We recommend updating all WPML plugins to the latest versions as the client might be using outdated versions. Here are the steps to potentially resolve the issue:
1. Take a post that does not appear in search results in the secondary language.
2. Make a small change to the post in the original language.
3. Update the post.
4. Open the translation (it should now require an update) and complete it.
5. Test again by searching for that post.
If this solution does not resolve the issue or seems irrelevant due to being outdated or not applicable to your case, we highly recommend checking related known issues at https://wpml.org/known-issues/, verifying the version of the permanent fix, and confirming that you have installed the latest versions of themes and plugins. If the problem persists, please open a new support ticket at WPML support forum for further assistance.

This is a continuation of this thread: https://wpml.org/forums/topic/query-indexing-filtering-problem-wpml-related-2/
We stopped at "it works with Elementor and WPML in troubleshooting mode, all other plugins disabled, switched to a default theme" so I thought I need to debug further, but now that I am debugging further, it's actually also not working with default theme + only Elementor+pro and WPML main plugin.

Can you assist?

Thank you for contacting WPML support.

If I understand correctly, the issue does not occur in a sandbox environment but only in your specific setup.

From the debug information, I can see that you are using outdated WPML plugins. Please make sure to update them to the latest versions, if you haven’t already.

Have you tried the following?
1. Take a post that does not appear in search results in the secondary language
2. Make a small change to the post in the original language
3. Update the post
4. Open the translation (it should now require an update) and complete it
5. Test again by searching for that post
