I am doing a WooCommerce product import in 4 languages.

I wondered do I need to have the translated tags in the CSV files or is it enough to have the tags only in the main language (EN) and then translate the tags using WPML (WooCommerce multilingual and multi currency > tags).

Because if I understand correctly, I have to translate the tags with WPML before importing even if the tags are in the CSV file translated for the other languages.

Thank you in advance.

Hello there,

Welcome to WPML support. I'd be happy to help you with this.

You can import the tags first and translate them using WooCommerce Multilingual.

But to have the tags in the secondary languages too, you should have them in the CSV file, and while importing you define those as tags. So, it will search for tag translations and assign the product accordingly.

More details here: https://wpml.org/documentation/related-projects/wpml-all-import-plugin-website-import-with-wpml/importing-multiple-languages-with-wp-all-import-and-wpml/

Let me know if this helps.

Thanks
