Background of the issue:
I previously had WPML installed on this website with the root language set to Spanish. I deleted the plugins and rewrote the website with the root language as English. There are new pages, new media, etc. I then installed WPML on the new version of the site, but that changed the pages of the site to the old versions. So I deleted WPML again and the website reverted to the new configuration with the new pages, new media, etc. I suspect there is data left over from the initial install that WPML is pulling when I reinstall it.

Symptoms:
When I reinstall WPML, it changes the pages of the site to the old versions.

Questions:
Are you familiar with this issue and how can I solve it?

Hello There,
Thanks for contacting WPML Support.

I understand the issue you're encountering. Please note that if you deactivate and delete WPML from your site, the data will remain in the database. When you reactivate the plugin, it's expected that the previous WPML data will be restored.

However, any new content created while WPML was inactive won't be affected and will stay as it was.

If you'd like to start fresh with WPML, it's recommended to reset the WPML plugin. This will completely remove all WPML-related data stored in the database. When you activate WPML again, you'll need to go through the setup from the beginning, and no previous data or settings will appear.

To understand the process of resetting WPML, please check this guide: https://wpml.org/documentation/getting-started-guide/language-setup/deleting-languages-and-plugin-data-by-doing-a-wpml-reset-on-your-site/#step-3-do-the-wpml-reset

I hope you can understand. Feel free to let me know if you need further assistance or clarification. I will be happy to assist.

Best regards,
Prosenjit
