Remove text only in a translation

This thread is resolved. Here is a description of the problem and solution.

Problem:
The client is working on a website using the DIVI theme with WPML and has pages translated into multiple languages. They need to remove a paragraph from the French version of a page, but the pages are synchronized with the Spanish version, and they are unsure how to edit without unsynchronizing the translations.

Solution:
First, ensure to create a full backup of the website. If the pages are duplicated in another language, you can switch the language in the WordPress backend to French, navigate to the pages list, find the page in question, and edit it there. When editing the page in the WordPress Editor (not with Divi), look for the "Translate independently" button on the right sidebar. Clicking this will unsynchronize the page from the default language, allowing you to make changes without affecting other translations. If the button is not visible, the pages may already be unsynchronized.

It's important to consistently use the same translation method for a page throughout its lifecycle. If you prefer full control over the translation and want to use the same page builder as in the default language, without relying on automatic translation, opt for the manual translation method. diegoD-14	Tell us what you are trying to do? - We are working in this DIVI theme website - The webpage is in Spanish and it is already translated into Catalan and French - In a near future it will be translated into Polish (we will receive the XLIFF files translated in some months) - We are using the WPML editor from the Spanish version, so all the pages are "in sync" Now the client has asked us to remove a paragraph from the text in the French version. But as they are in "sync" and the paragraph still exists in the Spanish version, I don't know how can I edit this. The only way to do this, if I am right is "unsync" the pages, and edit it using the DIVI editor in the French page. But is there a better way to do this without having to "unsync" the translations? Thank you!

Then, if I understand correctly, these pages have been duplicated into a different language. So you should be able to change the language at the top while you are in the backend > switch to FR > go to pages > find the page > edit and make that change. One more important thing: If you have pages that are duplicated, you will have the option to click a button called "Translate independently" - this button will show up on the right sidebar area if you switch to a different language in the backend and then open the page in the WordPress Editor (hover over the page and instead of selecting "edit with Divi", select just the first option called "Edit"). If that button doesn't show up anymore, it means that you already "disconnected" the sync between them so, when you make a change in the default language, the other translations won't be overwritten. If you don't click that button, the whole content will get overwritten if you ever make a change in the default language. One other important piece of information: It is always recommended that you use the same translation method for a page from the beginning till the end. If you want to have full control over the translation and if you want to edit it with the same page builder that you used when you created the default language page (and you also don't care about using the automatic translation feature), it is recommended that you go with the manual translation method: https://wpml.org/documentation/translating-your-contents/using-different-translation-editors-for-different-pages/ I hope that you will find all this information helpful. 🙂 Mihai Apetrei
