[Resolved] Remove Translation from the WPML "Review Box" Overlay

This thread is resolved. Here is a description of the problem and solution.

Problem:
The client wants the review banner that appears at the top of a translated page to remain in the original language (English) instead of being translated into the review language.

Solution:
We have consulted with our second-tier support team and confirmed that the box is designed to appear in the review language, which is the language the page has been translated into. Unfortunately, there is no setting or workaround available to display this box in the default language (English) instead of the review language.

This is the technical support forum for WPML - the multilingual WordPress plugin.

Everyone can read, but only WPML clients can post here. WPML team is replying on the forum 6 days per week, 22 hours per day.

When reviewing a translated page, this box appears at the top of the screen (image attached). The text in the box is translated into the same language as the page has been translated but I want it to NOT translate, and want it to appear in the original language (English). Is there a setting for this?

Hi,

1) Please go to Users-> Profile, select English in the "Language" dropdown menu, and save the profile.

2) Could you please share your Debug information with me?

The debug info will give me much information about how your site is configured.

This settings change did not help. Is this a cache issue? Any other suggestions?

Hi,

I consulted our 2nd tier support team regarding the issue, and they told me that this bar is expected to be in the review language, not the default language.

I'm afraid there is no workaround for this case.
