Solution: the second description is a field coming from the theme.

I would like to request temporary access (wp-admin and FTP) to your site to take better look at the issue. Our Debugging Procedures

I will be checking various settings in the backend to see if the issue can be resolved. Although I won't be making changes that affect the live site, it is still good practice to backup the site before providing us access. In the event that we do need to debug the site further, I will duplicate the site and work in a separate, local development environment to avoid affecting the live site.

Thanks. I logged in and can see that you have many out of date plugins. Please update at least WooCommerce and all WPML plugins to the latest version, and then I will test the translation of the categories you mentioned above. I will delete the description for the category and then create a new test product, assign the categories that do not have translations and send to automatic translation to try and generate the second description translations.

Please let me know when the updates are done.

Can you please try even if plugins are not updated?

It might take a week or 2 for the websites to be updated to the latest version (we are working on it on a dev environment atm)

I tested on one category and the extra description is not showing in the translation editor. You mentioned that this field comes from the theme, so I have installed a clean set up so i can test it there with the latest versions of WPML. Please click this link to login to my test site and install a copy of your theme there. Let me know once you've done that and I'll continue testing. Thanks!

It looks like the Woodmart author has not set this extra description field to be registered for translation, because it does not appear in the translation editor. I couldn't locate the field in the WPML -> Settings -> Custom Fields, which is where you can usually set custom fields to be translatable. I suggest reaching out to the theme author to ask them to add this field to the theme wpml-config.xml file. Once that is done, you should be able to create a new product and assign an untranslated category, and when you automatically translate the product, the category extra description will be included.

Let me know if it still isn't working after the field is correctly registered for translation and we can further troubleshoot as needed.

This will take forever. Is there another way we can translate that without having to wait on Theme support to push this?

Sure, you can translate it any time manually by going to Product Categories, click the second language, and then click the category to edit the translation. Here, you can paste the translation into the Extra Description field. It's only not possible to use automatic translation without the field registered.
