Background of the issue:
I use WPML for German pages, but I prefer having my WordPress and Elementor admin, dashboard, and UI in English. I am trying to set the Elementor UI default language to English on my site hidden link.

Symptoms:
I was unable to fix the issue of setting the Elementor UI default language to English despite using various search terms.

Questions:
How can I set the Elementor UI default language to English while using WPML?

Hi,

Welcome to WPML support.

Please go to Users > Profile and make sure you set the Admin language there to English.

Also, make sure that the Set admin language as editing language. option is deactivated.

Thanks.

Thank you for the steps. Cleared cache. Still the issue persists.

German on Elementor UI as well as WordPress toolbar. I think WPML is overriding the user preferences and site language.

Thanks,

R

Hi,

I'd appreciate it if you could give me the URL/User/Pass of your WordPress dashboard after you make sure that you have a backup of your website.
It is absolutely important that you give us a guarantee that you have a backup so if something happens you will have a point of restore.

Make sure you set the next reply as private.

Hi Rishi,

Thank you for the login information.

I had to change the language from the top admin language bar to German. Then go to Users > Profile and change the language from German to English and save.

After that, it fixed the problem, and now you can access Elementor widgets in English.
