Problem: The client is using WPML with Elementor on a site under development and is concerned about whether to prevent Elementor from autosaving translated posts. They also reported issues with changes not reflecting in Safari after clearing the cache and refreshing the page. I am working on a site under development and using WPML with Elementor. I am considering whether I should prevent Elementor from autosaving translated posts.

Okay, good to know. I have had some many issues with WPML for quite a while now, and still to this day. For a minute, I thought it could have been a trigger.
Whenever you experience specific issues with WPML, please do not hesitate to open a new ticket per each unique issue that you are experiencing so that we can properly investigate on each of them.
I have been through tons of tickets, but most of my issues never got resolved, at least not long terms. Not sure if Safari is truly compatible. Only Safari is compatible with all my devices, so hardly ever use any other browsers.
I often had to reset the original pages, sometimes several times, in order to get rid of the issues upon revising the already translated pages on the ATE (which in a nut itself have many problem on the new version).
Anyhow, I'm nearly finished translating the site and don't have any more time for it all.
I think the vast majority of people might be using Chrome.
I also run most of my life on a mac (laptop, desktop) and iPhone and yes, they come with Safari, which is faster compared to Chrome, especially when you run tons of tabs open at the same time but from all my tests, I have found Chrome to be one of the most compatible browsers and that's a sad thing, I would love all of the existing browsers would be as compatible as possible.
I personally did not experience any issues when I was using WordPress + WPML on Safari but maybe there could be specific issues for a very specific scenario and those ones should be properly investigated as a good majority of people are in the Apple ecosystem and are using Safari.
But whenever you experience an issue and you have even the smallest suspicion that it could be browser-related, it's a good thing to check that exact procedure on a different browser.
I hope that you will get to the completion state of the website as soon as possible and please never hesitate to open tickets for getting help with any issues that you encounter.
Even if we got it resolved at some point and then it start happening again, do not hesitate to get back and open a new ticket until the issue is resolved.

Here are the steps for you to replicate some of the issues.
1. I click on the Edit Translation button to revise an existing translation. It opens another tab.
2. I make some changes from within the ATE.
3. From within the Elementor Editor with the translated page already opened in another tab, I clear the Safari cache and refresh the page. There, I see the new version of the translation.
4. If I cycle back to step 1 to make more changes to the translation via another step 2. Step 3 often times no longer reflects the new changes. Sometimes it does, but often it does not.
