Sidebar appearing on translated page.

This thread is resolved. Here is a description of the problem and solution.

Problem:
The client is new to WPML and is facing an issue where right sidebar widgets are appearing on the homepage of the Chinese translation, and they are unsure how to suppress this.
Solution:
We recommend checking the widget settings in the WordPress admin area. There might be an option that controls the display of widgets on translated pages. We provided a screenshot to the client showing where this option can be found in the admin area.

davidW-121	Hi, I am a total newb, just experimenting with WPML for the first time. Website is hidden link. I'm having a number of problems, the most important of which is that in my Chinese translation, right sidebar widgets are appearing on the homepage. I do not know why and cannot find a way to suppress this. Any suggestions are greatly appreciated...

Please note that it is important to have a backup for security purposes and to prevent any potential data loss. You can use the UpdraftPlus plugin (https://wordpress.org/plugins/updraftplus/) to fulfill your backup requirements. Your upcoming reply will be treated with confidentiality and will only be visible to you and me. ✙ To resolve the issue, I may need your consent to deactivate and reactivate plugins and the theme, as well as make configuration changes on the site if necessary.
