I have a number of sites hosted on SiteGround that use WPML with a separate domain for each language (name-in-english.com and nom-en-francais.com) and SiteGround's Speed Optimizer plugin to let site admins clear the server side cache from with the admin interface.

When I edit a page in one language, then edit its translation, I want to clear the server side cache so that changes are visible immediately, so that I can tell the client their changes are done and they can verify that.

To do this, I click the 'Purge SG Cache' admin menu bar item while logged in as an admin on the site's primary domain name (eg name-in-english.com).

But this does not purge the cache for the other language version of the page. To do that I must visit the SiteGround admin interface for that site, go to the caching control page and purge the cache for the nom-en-francais.com website.

This is a significant waste of time and an easy thing to forget to do. I think I get why it happens (to the server-side caching daemon, name-in-english.com is independent from nom-en-francais.com) but to a site admin it's a significant shortcoming and counter intuitive behaviour.

Hello,

Thanks for contacting us, I understand the issue is the cache is cleared only from the current domain, which is kind of expected. I would advise checking further with SG support if there is any option to add an alias domain so the cache is also cleared from that domain, and if not maybe suggest a feature request to be implemented. As it looks to me, this should have been implemented from the SG side, for example lets say you have WPML disabled and use 3 different domains as an alias for the same website, will the cache be cleared from all of them at the same time?

If there is anything we can further do to help we would be glad, just let me know here or they can pign directly our compatibility team.

Regards,
Drazen

Thanks. I sent them the same problem report. They say they're working on it 'maybe'.
