Background of the issue:
I am trying to translate a slider with text at the top of the home page on my site hidden link. I found a solution by changing the slider.php file, but it didn't help.

Symptoms:
Slider is not translated.

Questions:
How can I translate the slider text on the home page?
Why didn't the solution involving the slider.php file work?
