This thread is resolved. Here is a description of the problem and solution.

Problem:
The client is facing an issue where the 'Complete Translation' process never finishes.

Solution:
It seems to be related to a job initiated on a different domain or configuration. We recommend trying the following steps:
1. Go to Translation Management, select the page, send for translation, choose to translate it yourself, and then proceed to the Translation queue to take and translate.
2. Alternatively, edit the page in the default language and click to update the translation from the "Language" section in the sidebar.

If these steps do not resolve the issue or if you encounter similar problems on other pages, it might be due to outdated configurations or other conflicts. We highly recommend checking related known issues at https://wpml.org/known-issues/, verifying the version of the permanent fix, and confirming that you have installed the latest versions of themes and plugins.
If the problem persists, please open a new support ticket.

I have 3 more issues for the same site. Do you really want me to open 3 separate tickets?? Does that mean I have to create four clones for four different support representatives? How does that make sense? Please help me!

2. How can I resolve the issue where 'Complete Translation' never finishes? Here’s an example:

This is Waqas, I'll be looking into this issue while Itamar is not available for now.

I've just checked for the issue #2 (the one Itamar was handling in this ticket) about 'Complete Translation' never finishes, for the page hidden link and it seems to work fine.

Please see my screencast: hidden link.

I then enabled "Display hidden languages" in the logged in user's profile (hidden link) so I can see the English translation on frontend. And tried the "Edit Translation" from frontend.

It also worked fine, please see the second screencast: hidden link.

I believe there's perhaps browser cache problem. You can either clear browser cache, close the browser, open and check again, or, can try in a different browser.

Please let me know.

Thank you for the updates.

I can see the problem. I tried to delete the English translation and translated the page again, so the issue went away for a while. But it returned right after that.

I'm checking with my team about it, however, in the meanwhile, can you please prepare a test or staging site by copying/cloning your site? Because I need to investigate in more detail, which may break things on the live site.

Thank you for the access to the test site, I was able to login and working on it. I'll update you accordingly.

In the meanwhile, you can update the translations in your live site by following steps (instead of clicking "Edit Translation" in the frontend):

- Edit the page or post in default language in WP Admin.
- Add/update translation from the "Language" section on the sidebar.

I tried in my previous check and this seems to work fine.

I checked further with the help of my team and perhaps the site was migrated from another URL:

This issue happens sometimes when you have a job that was initiated on another domain or a different configuration which is not the one the client is on right now.

Because the issue doesn't happen in following scenarios:

1. Translation Management -> Select the page -> Send for translation -> Translate myself -> Go to Translation queue -> Take and translate.

2. Or edit page in default language -> click to update translation from "Language" section in the sidebar.

So you can try one of the above mentioned methods, if you get more of this issue (i.e. on other pages or posts).

Many issues and unnecessary manual work. The 'Translate everything' approach is a waste of both time and money, and the second-tier support never responds!

Our apologies for the disappointment but we're trying our best to help resolve this issue.

In my previous reply I provided the details after consulting with our 2nd tier team, which investigated and found about a suspected migration. Can you please confirm if the site was migrated while these translations were initiated before migration and then you tried to finish on the new location?

On the other hand, we also offered the 2 alternate methods which are working fine. These are all manual translation methods including the one where you're getting that error.

Auto-translate works little differently where you send for translation without leaving the site or going to ATE and ATE sends translations back. Did you find that issue with auto-translate also?
