This thread is resolved. Here is a description of the problem and solution.

Problem:
The client reported that their homepage and some other pages were not displaying translations despite being translated. Additionally, the WPML plugin was continuously using credits without providing translations, and the translation percentage never reached 100%, always staying under 90%.

Solution:
We investigated the issue and found that it might be related to server limitations or a compatibility issue with one of the active plugins. We requested temporary access to the site to debug further and replicated the site locally for testing. The issue was identified as 'ghost' entries in the translation database from a previous site migration, which prevented WPML from saving and displaying translations correctly. We cleared these ghost entries and added necessary XML configuration code for WP Bakery page builder to ensure all custom blocks were recognized by WPML. This solution involved:

We also provided additional credits to the client's account to compensate for the inconvenience. If this solution does not resolve your issue, or if it seems outdated, we recommend checking related known issues at https://wpml.org/known-issues/, verifying the version of the permanent fix, and confirming that you have installed the latest versions of themes and plugins. If problems persist, please open a new support ticket.

I have one request, please.

Go here (hidden link) > click "Register WPML" > and then register WPML with the key that you generated here: https://wpml.org/account/sites (copy the key from here and add it to your current site to register WPML again)

Can you please let me know when that's done?

Thank you!

Thank you for the quick confirmation.

I cleared all the old ghosted content, and I added the custom configuration XML code here:

Now, you should be able to run a test if you want and try to automatically translate the About page (or the homepage) into one language of your choice (I tested with Spain, but it should work with any language).

So, you can go to WPML > Translation Management > search for the "About" page or the homepage > check the box next to it > scroll down > select "Do nothing" for all the languages > and then select "Translate" only for one of the languages of your choice to run a test.

Then, at the bottom, select "Translate automatically."

Please let me know how that goes.

PS: Please be aware that there are many available plugin updates (and even the main theme has an available update).

At some point, I recommend creating a testing environment and updating these plugins, to make sure nothing breaks on the site, and then do the same for the live site so that you don't run into compatibility-issue risks and so that the site is not easy to hack.

Just wanted to share this info with you because I think it is important.

Hi there.

Those seem to be the product category images that were not synced with the other languages so that we would see a placeholder image instead of the original images used in English.

I followed this ticket's steps (https://wpml.org/forums/topic/product-category-images-missing-in-the-translated-language/#post-12452011), and now the images are showing up correctly.

Please check.

Fantastic!

Appreciate all the help you've been in resolving this.

Just to confirm you have added those credits to the account?

Hi there.

It was my pleasure 🙂

Yes, there were 180k credits at that moment under the WPML.org account and after the addition, the total turned to 210k credits.
