This thread is resolved. Here is a description of the problem and solution.
Problem:
1. The client needs to translate the "copyright" text in the footer.
2. The client wants to shorten the language switcher to display "EN / CN" instead of the full language names.
Solution:
For the first issue, we recommend translating the footer content by using the String Translation feature of WPML. If you're experiencing this, you can find the text you want to translate and apply the desired translations.
For the second issue, to shorten the language switcher to "EN / CN", follow these steps:
1. Navigate to WPML > Languages.
2. Go to the 'Edit Languages' section.
3. Change the language names to your preferred short versions, such as changing "English" to "EN".
4. Save your changes.
This should display the language switcher in the shortened format you desire.
