Thanks for sharing credentials. I ran some tests and was not able to reproduce the issue. Here's what I did:
1. I reimported the German file to resolve the missing issues, with a few minor changes (I'll note below).
2. I then switched to minimal settings (only WPML and WooCommerce active).
3. I edited the English short description, and confirmed that in German the images were still there.
4. I then switched back most of the plugins and updated the English short description again. I checked German and the swatches were still there.
So I assume that the issue was related to the changes I made in the import template. Here's what I did there.
1. In the WooCommerce Add Ons section, on the Variations tab, check these two options:
-Save variation image to the gallery.
-Import additional variation images.
2. Under Images, instead of selecting "Use images currently uploaded in wp-content/uploads/wpallimport/files/", select "Use images currently in Media Library"
Can you please try running the import and creating a new test product with some variations? Name it WPML test so if the issue returns, I'll know which product to check. Let me know if you are able to reproduce the issue with these changes.
When I log back in to your site I can see that all plugins are active again. When you sent this video, did you test with plugins active again or in minimal settings? I need to make sure that we are testing the same, so you'll need to confirm that this was tested in the Italian import in minimal.
Also, if it is happening in minimal for you, please check: are these images that you are importing brand new images? If so, try running the duplicate media settings in WPML -> Settings to copy the images to all languages, and then run the import and see if it makes any difference.
1) About plugins
Should the plugins be inactive? Did you disable them? I haven't touched them, so I don't know what you're talking about.
2) About images
I had asked you if you wanted the CSV to see what I was importing, but I didn’t get a reply. Your plugin saves the CSV in a folder, so you can see them there. Anyway, I’m attaching a screenshot of the CSV so you can see how I’m handling the images. You can also see from the video which settings I’m using.
My Goal:
Let me know how I can import configurable product (every variable has an image) in three different language, please.
Obviously It's important that every variable product has image in every language.
Yes we need to test the import in minimal settings, meaning only WPML plugins are active with WooCommerce and WP All import, and a default theme. Please test with these settings.
Also, make sure that the images are available in all languages by checking the boxes to duplicat media in WPML -> Settings -> MEdia Translation and click "start" to run the sync.
I tested in minimal settings previously with the changes to the WP All Import that were previously mentioned and the images were imported as expected, which is why I would like for you to test in Italian import with minimal settings. It could be that there is a conflict with another plugin that is causing this issue. Please let me know the results.
When selecting "use images currently in media library", it doesn't import the images in Italian and German. If I don't use this setting, it imports them, but deletes them all at the first update on English product.
I also tried deactivating the other plugins, but nothing changes.
Let me know how I can import configurable product (every variable has an image) in three different language, please.
Obviously It's important that every variable product has image in every language.
And most importantly, it's crucial that they are not deleted as soon as I make any changes.
Hi,
We have replicated the bug we're experiencing. Basically, the import is successful in both English and Italian. The variation images are present in both languages. However, as soon as we make a change to the English version, the variation images in Italian disappear.
