This thread is resolved. Here is a description of the problem and solution.

Problem:
The client was unable to translate one specific widget title on their website.

Solution:
We recommended two methods to resolve the issue:
1. Enable the "Look for strings while pages are rendered" option in WPML > String Translation, visit the page with the untranslated string, and then search for the string again in WPML > String Translation.
2. If the string is not found, it might be an admin text string. We provided documentation on how to find and translate admin text strings: https://wpml.org/documentation/getting-started-guide/string-translation/finding-strings-that-dont-appear-on-the-string-translation-page/
Additionally, we shared our guide on translating widgets: https://wpml.org/documentation/getting-started-guide/translating-widgets/

After the client provided access credentials, we discovered the issue was likely due to caching or an error in the initial string registration process. We resolved the issue by removing the string, re-adding it, and retranslating it. The correct string to translate was identified as

[widget_block_widget][2]title

.

We also created separate tickets for the client's other issues regarding SEO title and logo translation.

If the solution provided here is not relevant to your case, either because it's outdated or not applicable, we recommend opening a new support ticket. We also highly recommend checking related known issues at https://wpml.org/known-issues/, verifying the version of the permanent fix, and confirming that you have installed the latest versions of themes and plugins. Hi there.

Please try the following methods (I think what we need should be done with point 1).

Method 1:

Go to WPML > String Translation and at the bottom of the page you will find a checkbox called "Look for strings while pages are rendered". You can enable (check) that and then go in the front end to a page where you have that string showing up and then go back to WPML > String Translation and search for that string and see if it now shows up.

Method 2: If you can't find them inside the WPML > String Translation, they might be added as admin text.

This should be the normal process to find and translate admin text strings:
https://wpml.org/documentation/getting-started-guide/string-translation/finding-strings-that-dont-appear-on-the-string-translation-page/

PS: I'm not sure if you had the chance to go over our "Translating widgets" documentation, too, so I will be sharing it below just so you have it:
https://wpml.org/documentation/getting-started-guide/translating-widgets/

Please let me know how that goes.

Kind regards,
Mihai Apetrei

Hi there.

I would like to request temporary access (wp-admin and FTP) to your site to take a better look at the issue. You will find the needed fields for this below the comment area when you log in to leave your next reply. The information you will enter is private which means only you and I can see and have access to it.

Our Debugging Procedures

I will be checking various settings in the backend to see if the issue can be resolved. Although I won't be making changes that affect the live site, it is still good practice to backup the site before providing us access. In the event that we do need to debug the site further, I will duplicate the site and work in a separate, local development environment to avoid affecting the live site.

Privacy and Security Policy

We have strict policies regarding privacy and access to your information. Please see:
https://wpml.org/purchase/support-policy/privacy-and-security-when-providing-debug-information-for-support/

**IMPORTANT**

- Please make a backup of the site files and database before providing us access.

- If you do not see the wp-admin/FTP fields this means your post & website login details will be made PUBLIC. DO NOT post your website details unless you see the required wp-admin/FTP fields. If you do not, please ask me to enable the private box.

The private box looks like this: hidden link

I will be waiting for your response.
