This thread is resolved. Here is a description of the problem and solution.
Problem:
The client needed to translate the GDPR cookie consent text into French on their French page, but was unable to do so.
Solution:
We located the strings for the CookieYes plugin in the admin strings section and moved them to Strings Translation. We then translated these strings into French. We also informed the client that the CookieYes plugin is officially compatible with WPML, which can be confirmed here: https://wpml.org/plugin/cookie-law-info/. For an easier method of adding the cookie banner in other languages, we recommended using the premium version of the plugin. More information can be found in the plugin's documentation here:
