Hello, We have used auto-translation to translate our entire site in 4 different languages. However, we have now decided to hire a translating agency for a more accurate translation. The translating agency is going to connect directly to our WPML account by generating an API token we will enter. We have a few questions to make sure this process goes smoothly: Thank you, |

Hello! I'll help you get started while a supporter takes your case: 1) No, you don't need to have the content deleted or anything, you can assign it to yourself and then export them from WPML > Translations 2) It's something safe to do so you can do it on a production site but i suggest that to always be on the safe side, you make a backup before importing the translated XLIFF and test with one page only first if possible. if you do it from WPML directly then you're safe to go. 3) Each "job" is like a translation session, as soon as you click "complete" it's over, so you can always go to WPML > Translation management and then send the same page, and assign it to the translation service of your choice. it won't reset the translations that have been completed, but it WILL reset the ones that are currently in progress but if you translated them automatically then that's not a problem because there shouldn't be translation in progress. -------------- Please note that each translation mode is different and independent from each other, so you won't see the changes in the translation editor once you retrieve the translation from the translation service. Regards. |
