[Resolved] Switching from WPML advanced to classic editor crashes my elementor & smartslide
This thread is resolved. Here is a description of the problem and solution.
Problem: The smart slider shows in default language even on the Chinese version of the page. The "safe mode" message of Elementor appears whenever try to edit the page in other languages.
Solution:
For now, the smart slider needs to be translated manually. Fortunately, it has the project duplicate feature. Using that, we can duplicate the slider and add the contents accordingly. I made a video on the entire process. Please check this video(https://d.pr/v/7RrgxM) for a better understanding.
The loading issue can happen due to having lower memory than recommended. The main step here to check by updating the WordPress memory limit.

I am trying to: Edit my smart slider from english to chinese, because I recently switched from advanced WPML editor to classic and somehow my smartslider on the homepage reverted from chinese to english after the switch.
I tried to edit my homepage with elementor but it gets stuck on the loading screen and crashes. This only happens on the chinese page, the smartslider and elementor on the english page is working as normal.
When the chinese translated page crashes, I get a pop up saying "Can't edit? Having trouble loading Elementor? Please enable safe mode to troubleshoot."
I enable safe mode, and the Chinese page loads normally but my smart slider is completely missing. So I thought maybe somehow, my smart slider plugin is incompatible with whatever changes I made, so I "repaired" and updated the plugin. But the issue is not resolved.

I expected to see: the english slider should be in chinese, when editing with elementor, the page crashes, when loading up in safe mode, the slider is missing. there is no issues with the english page.
Instead, I got: the slider that is supposed to be in chinese remains in english. the slider code must have been replaced somehow. from [smartslider3 slider="19"] to [smartslider3 slider="25"]
Hello There,
Thanks for contacting WPMl Support. I will be happy to assist you in this matter.
I understood that the Smart Slider is not showing properly translated in the Chinese Language. Kindly be informed that I couldn't find any specific compatibility information for the Smart Slider plugin with WPML.
However, based on previous reports regarding the Smart Slider plugin, it appears that the slider content needs to be manually translated first and after that, you'll be able to attach the translated slider to Translated pages.
I made a video on the entire process which will help you in displaying the slider as per the languages. Kindly check this video for a better understanding: hidden link
If you follow the video, you don't have to open the Translated Elementor page and include the slider manually. The process I've shown in the video is much easier.
I also would like to inform you that the editor loading issue in other languages might be happening due to not assigning sufficient memory limits for your WordPress site. Maybe for that reason, After a certain time of loading, the option to enable the "Safe Mode" appears. When you click on it, Elementor will disable all the plugins from the site and keep only the Elementor activated. In that way, the Editor gets loaded properly.
Check this article to know more about the safe mode: hidden link
In order to solve the Loading issue, would you please check by assigning "256MB" of memory for your site? Please check this article to understand the process of increasing the WordPress Memory limit: hidden link
I hope it will help. Let me know if the resources I have shared help to solve the issue or if you need further assistance in this matter. I will be happy to assist you.
