This thread is resolved. Here is a description of the problem and solution.
Problem:
If you're experiencing issues after entering the wrong URL when switching your site key from the development version to the production version in your WPML.org account, we can help.
Solution:
We recommend using the Duplicator plugin to manage the migration of your site. This tool will help in replacing the URL seamlessly. You can find the plugin here: https://wordpress.org/plugins/duplicator/
For detailed guidance, refer to the documentation: https://snapcreek.com/duplicator/docs/
Additionally, a tutorial on how to use Duplicator is available at: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3YDQ3Ey_2wY
After completing the migration, please follow these steps to update your WPML site key:
1. Log in to your WPML account and navigate to the "Sites" page (https://wpml.org/account/sites/).
2. Remove your old site/domain and add your new site. This will generate a new key.
3. Go to your site's backend under Plugins > Add new > Commercial, unregister WPML with the old key, and register with the new key.
If this solution does not apply to your case, or if it seems outdated, we highly recommend checking related known issues at https://wpml.org/known-issues/, verifying the version of the permanent fix, and confirming that you have installed the latest versions of themes and plugins. If you still need assistance, please open a new support ticket at WPML support forum.
