WordPress 6.7 has introduced a new issue that impact translations, please update WooCommerce and WPML to the latest versions before you report issues. More about this here - https://wpml.org/errata/php-error-wp-6-7-notice-function-_load_textdomain_just_in_time-was-called/
Background of the issue:
I am trying to use the new WPML ATE to translate posts that include tags in our Scripture post type. Here's an example of the HTML of one of our Scripture posts: 13Then they sent to him some Pharisees and some Herodians to trap him in what he said. 14And they came and said to him, “Teacher, we know that you are sincere and show deference to no one, for you do not regard people with partiality but teach the way of God in accordance with truth. Is it lawful to pay taxes to Caesar or not? 15Should we pay them, or should we not?” But knowing their hypocrisy, he said to them, “Why are you putting me to the test? Bring me a denarius and let me see it.” 16And they brought one. Then he said to them, “Whose head is this and whose title?” They answered, “Caesar’s.” 17Jesus said to them, “Give to Caesar the things that are Caesar’s and to God the things that are God’s.” And they were utterly amazed at him.18Some Sadducees, who say there is no resurrection, came to him and asked him a question, saying, 19“Teacher, Moses wrote for us that if a man’s brother dies, leaving a wife but no child, the man shall marry the widow and raise up children for his brother. 20There were seven brothers; the first married and, when he died, left no children,
Symptoms:
The new WPML ATE cannot handle tags properly and will not let us save translations. The error message is: "The original sentence includes formatting markers. However, not all markers are applied to the translation.". ATE will not allow us to save the translation. This issue exists with the current ATE, but it allows us to revert to the old editor.
Questions:
How can we revert to the old editor when using WPML 4.7?
Can WPML 4.7 handle tags and other complex formatting from MS Word?
I just tested in a clean installation of WPML Version 4.7.0-b.1 and was able to switch to the older version of ATE. It seems that the issue you're having is specific to your staging website. Do you want us to check that for you?
