[Resolved] The Advanced Translation Editor does not load all page content, and every Arabic-language URL return...
This thread is resolved. Here is a description of the problem and solution.
Problem: You are trying to translate your site into Arabic using WPML and Elementor, but after publishing, all Arabic pages show 404 errors. The Advanced Translation Editor does not load all page content.
Solution:
We recommend adding the relevant language configuration under WPML >> Settings >> Custom XML Configuration. After this, update (resave) the Case template.
This should allow the content to display correctly on the frontend in Arabic. For further details on configuring custom XML, you can check the WPML documentation on registering custom Elementor widgets for translation.

Background of the issue:
I am trying to translate the entire site into Arabic using WPML and Elementor. I followed WPML’s official guide for 'Translating Elementor Pages with WPML.' After creating the Arabic versions in the Advanced Translation Editor and publishing them, all Arabic pages resolve to 404 errors.
Symptoms:
The Advanced Translation Editor does not load all page content, and every Arabic-language URL returns a 404 error, including the home page.
Questions:
Why does the Advanced Translation Editor not load all page content?
Why do all Arabic-language URLs return a 404 error after publishing?
It seems the chat was disconnected, so I have moved the conversation to a support ticket.
The translation of the Case template text started showing correctly after I added the relevant language configuration under WPML >> Settings >> Custom XML Configuration and then updated (resaved) the Case template.
Please proceed to complete the translation of the template and check whether the expected results are now appearing on the frontend.

Thank you for the updates. Have there been any recent changes made to the site?
Adding a WPML language configuration under WPML >> Settings >> Custom XML Configuration will not break the site. It is safe to use and helps WPML understand how to handle custom fields, post types, or shortcodes for translation.
As a quick check, please deactivate WPML temporarily (after taking a full site backup) and verify whether the homepage loads as expected without it.
Also, could you please consider setting up a staging site, a clone of your live site? This will allow us to troubleshoot the issue in a safe environment without affecting your live site.
Thank you for the updates. I have opened new tickets for the latest issue you reported. As per our support policy, we handle one issue per ticket to ensure focused and efficient assistance. I will follow up on the new ticket as soon as possible. Please wait.
