I already opened a ticket last Thursday (04.12.2025) regarding this issue. I was assisted by Noman.
Here is the context:
I am experiencing the same issue once again. This is the fourth or fifth time I have had to resolve this issue, either by manually updating the translations for my entire website, which is a time-consuming task, or by using the solution provided by your support team last Thursday.
The steps that were recommended by your support and done on the 04.12.2025:
Went to WPML → Settings → Media Translation.
Temporarily disabled “Automatically detect best options for translating image texts.”
Clicked on “Setup manually.”
Enabled “Duplicate image texts (alt, caption, title) for all featured images to all languages” for Existing Content.
Clicked “Start the Process.”
Re-enabled “Automatically detect best options for translating image texts.”
This solved the problem, and everything was working correctly on Friday. However, today without having made any changes to the site since Friday evening, the images have disappeared again today. On Friday, I have worked on some pages, in English (default languge) to change some texte and I have actualized the translations and made a backup of the website. But the pictures where still there untill today...
I am really frustrated by this recurring issue, and something needs to be done urgently. It is not normal to have to fix this repeatedly.
The project keeps falling behind schedule because of these issues.
We can see that the images have disappeared with these links as examples for pages translated into French; in other languages, they are sometimes the same missing images or different ones. hidden link
