[Resolved] the submit button in contact form did not translate
This thread is resolved. Here is a description of the problem and solution.
Problem: The client needed help with two issues: the submit button on their contact form was not displaying correctly, and they were unable to select the blog page for the Dutch menu because it was only created in English.
Solution: For the submit button issue, we edited the 'Contactformulier 1' by navigating to wp-admin > Contact > Contact forms. We changed the text to 'Verzend', but the client can change it to another word if preferred. The English and translated versions of the contact form already have the word 'Submit', so no changes are necessary there.
To address the blog page issue, we added a Dutch translation for the page by going to the pages listing, switching to English in the admin top bar, and saving the translation. This allowed the blog page to be selectable in the Dutch menu.
We asked the client to test these changes and, if satisfied, to mark the other ticket as resolved.
If the solution provided here is not relevant to your case, either because it's outdated or not applicable, we recommend opening a new support ticket. We also highly recommend checking related known issues at https://wpml.org/known-issues/, verifying the version of the permanent fix, and confirming that you have installed the latest versions of themes and plugins. If further assistance is needed, please contact us on the WPML support forum.

Hello there,
If you go to WPML > String Translation and search for 'Submit' are you able to find the button text in there?
Is it marked as an English text? If it is by chance registered as a Dutch text, can you please select that string and change it to English in the bottom of the string table?
Then please try to translate it again to see if it will fix the issue.
If the issue remains after that, I would like to request temporary access (wp-admin and FTP) to your site to take better look at the issue. You will find the needed fields for this below the comment area when you log in to leave your next reply. The information you will enter is private which means only you and I can see and have access to it.
Our Debugging Procedures
I will be checking various settings in the backend to see if the issue can be resolved. Although I won't be making changes that affect the live site, it is still good practice to backup the site before providing us access. In the event that we do need to debug the site further, I will duplicate the site and work in a separate, local development environment to avoid affecting the live site.
- Please make a backup of site files and database before providing us access.
- If you do not see the wp-admin/FTP fields this means your post & website login details will be made PUBLIC. DO NOT post your website details unless you see the required wp-admin/FTP fields. If you do not, please ask me to enable the private box. The private box looks like this: hidden link
Please, let me know if you need any additional details. Have a nice day.

Hello there,
It looks like there's a 2 factor autenticador in place.
When I try to login it asks me to confirm in the registered phone.
Is it possible for you to temporarily disable it? Or if you prefer, I can send you instructions on how to create a staging site on our servers so we can debug it in there directly.
Also, can you please try the following procedure to see if you can find the string and translate it?
- Go to WPML -> String Translation
- Enable the option 'look for strings while pages are rendered'
- Go to the front end where the string appears
- Return to the String Translation screen and uncheck the option above
- Refresh the page and try to search for the string to see if you can find it now.

Hello there,
I was able to fix the submit button issue by going to wp-admin > Contact > Contact forms and editing the Contactformulier 1.
In there you'll now see the text 'Verzend', please feel free to change it to a more suitable word.
The English and translated version of the conctact form already have the word 'Submit', no need to change it.
Regarding the issue on the other ticket, I noticed that the Blog page was created only for English. I went to the pages listing, switched to English in the admin top bar and added a Dutch translation for that page. It was translated by default, just had to create the translation and save it.
Then, selecting the blog became possible on the Dutch menu.
Please test it and if it is OK mark the other ticket as well as resolved.
