Thanks for your reply.

It looks you cannot use the same category slug as the English language. I made the change and it works now hidden link . Could you check?

As for the "small squares" that you created, you can translate it here hidden link

let me know whow it goes.

Hi Kor,

Hello!
Understood. I will follow your new suggestion to revert the slugs of the already translated categories back to the default language.

The current issue is how to prevent the category page slugs from being translated initially. This would avoid the need to revert them back to the default language after translation, which would create a large number of 301 redirects, as I still have 10 languages left to translate.

I would greatly appreciate your further assistance with this.

Thank you very much.

Best Regards,
Hongjian Wang

Thanks for your reply.

I believe you triggered automatic translation for your categories earlier. But this is just a one time process and are your new categories still being translated automatically?

Hi Kor,

Thank you for your response.

I tried to avoid automatic translation by clicking “Assign to a translator.” However, even on the resulting translation page, I could not find any option to modify the Slug.

Could you please provide a tutorial video showing the correct steps for translating the Category, while keeping the Slug in the default English, or share detailed instructions?

I would greatly appreciate your help.

Best Regards,
Hongjian Wang

Thanks for your reply.

You can learn more about translating taxonomies here https://wpml.org/documentation/getting-started-guide/translating-post-categories-and-custom-taxonomies/ . I hope it helps.
