This thread is resolved. Here is a description of the problem and solution.

Problem:
The client was experiencing an issue where the Timeline Widget for Elementor plugin displayed content in the default language on a translated page.

Solution:
We resolved the issue by taking the following steps:
1. Completed the existing translation that was in progress.
2. Made a minor change in the default language content in Elementor (added a few dots in the last paragraph of "Hugo Sorg").
3. Saved the changes.
4. Updated the translation.
5. Reverted the change by editing the page in German again in Elementor (removed the dots).
6. Updated the translation once more.

Please note that this solution might be irrelevant if it's outdated or not applicable to your case. If you're still experiencing issues, we highly recommend checking the related known issues, verifying the version of the permanent fix, and confirming that you have installed the latest versions of themes and plugins. Hi Waqas Bin Hasan,

i asked the support of Timeline Widget For Elementor and they said it is fully compatible with WPML and sent me this ... hidden link ... to prove it. Not the answer i exactly needed, but at least they are confident with their compatibility. 😉

I looked at my String-Translation Editor and could actually find e.g. timeline-widget-addon-twae_description-5c43cbd-57dab82 ... please see attached screenshot.
And if i translate it there, than the translation shows.

But unfortunately it does not like to show the translation from the WPML Translation Editor (hidden link...), which is a much better way to translate.
Btw, i noticed there are shown different string names e.g. package-string-18-4419 than at the String-Translation Editor. ... please see screenshot. Maybe that info helps somehow.

Is there maybe any setting at WPML i missed to solve the issue?

Thank you very much for your kind support.

Best regards,
Maren

Thank you for your patience and cooperation.

It should be fixed now. Looks like there was an existing translation in progress which may not have been completed.

However, I did the following steps and it is working just fine:

- Completed existing translation.
- Made a change in default language content in Elementor (just added a few dots in the last paragraph of "Hugo Sorg".
- Saved.
- Updated the translation.
- Revert the change by editing the page in German again in Elementor (removed the dots).
- Updated the translation.
