[Resolved] translate flatsome category descriptions

1) Please try the following steps:

1- Edit the category in the default language
2- Click the update button
3- Switch the language from the top admin bar
4- Add/Translate the custom meta fields
5- Update the translated category

The debug info will give me much information about how your site is configured.

Thanks for your update. These category fields are not automatically translated. The mentioned steps are to manually translate them as a workaround.

Since the description is coming from custom fields that are not detected in WPML> Taxonomy Translation, they won't be translated automatically.

You need to create the translation for this description manually by following the steps mentioned here: https://wpml.org/forums/topic/translate-flatsome-category-descriptions/?log=view_ticket#post-14894611

Hi Flavio,

You need to add the translation of this category description manually in the product category editing screen.

Please try this:

- Go to Products > Categories
- Edit the Dutch category
- Switch the language to English from the top admin bar
- Add the English text (The translation of the original description)
- Click "Update" to save the category
- Repeat the same steps with the German category

Thanks for your confirmation that the mentioned steps fix the issue. This goes for all custom fields in the taxonomies, not only with Flatsome fields. These fields are not translated automatically because they are not WordPress default fields.
