This thread is resolved. Here is a description of the problem and solution.

Problem:
The client is unable to translate the slug for a page from 'reservations' to 'reservas' on their multilingual Elementor site, despite following basic URL/SLUG documentation.
Solution:
If you're experiencing this issue, we recommend you try the following steps:
1. Navigate to WPML → Settings → Translated documents options.
2. Select the option "Translate (this will include the slug in the translation and not create it automatically from the title)".
3. Make a small modification to the original page, save it, and then navigate to the WPML translation editor to translate the slug.

This solution might be irrelevant if it's outdated or not applicable to your case. We highly recommend checking related known issues at https://wpml.org/known-issues/, verifying the version of the permanent fix, and confirming that you have installed the latest versions of themes and plugins. If the issue persists, please open a new support ticket at WPML support forum.

Background of the issue:
I have a site madunia.es where I have a page called madunia.es/reservations. I have managed to duplicate this page and translate it to madunia.es/es/reservations. I want the slug for the Spanish version to be translated to madunia.es/es/reservas. The site is built with Elementor.

Symptoms:
I followed basic URL/SLUG documentation but cannot get the translated slug to work properly.

Questions:
How do I translate the slug for the Spanish version of the page from madunia.es/es/reservations to madunia.es/es/reservas?

Thank you for reaching out to WPML support.

Suppose you were using the WPML translation editor to translate the reservations page. You can follow these steps:

1. Go to WPML → Settings → Translated documents options.
2. Choose the option "Translate (this will include the slug in the translation and not create it automatically from the title)".
3. Make a small modification to the original page, save it, and navigate to the WPML translation editor for the slug translation.

I hope this helps.

Hi Andrey,

thank you for your help. I've managed to get the slug working.
However when the page is translated, a few thing seem to go wrong.

- The header disappears on the translated page
- The footer image disappears on the translated page
- When clicking the logo on the /es/reservas page i get redirected to the main homepage, not a translated version.

What steps should i take to fix these problems?
