This thread is resolved. Here is a description of the problem and solution.
Problem: The client is trying to make their store multilingual, translating from English to Dutch. They encountered issues with incorrect margins on the Dutch store, inability to edit pages in Elementor or WordPress, a missing footer in the Dutch version, and the WooCommerce Multilingual plugin not being recognized.
Solution: We checked the issue and found that the shop page was corrupted. We resolved this by creating a new shop page and translating it. We recommend checking if the new translated shop page works correctly. Additionally, we translated the footer template as it was not previously translated. If you're experiencing similar issues: 1. Verify if your shop page is corrupted and consider creating a new one. 2. Translate the new shop page and check its functionality. 3. Ensure that the footer template is translated.
I'm trying to make my store multilingual from English to also Dutch. I have been translating the pages and all seems to go well. However, I've noted that my Dutch store has the wrong margins and hence does not look pretty at all.
I've tried to update the page, however it does not let me edit the page in Elementor nor in wordpress. Recreating the page yields the same effect. I've also cleared cache, so wondering if there is something that I'm missing.
Please refer to the attached images to get a visualization of what I mean.
In addition I note that my footer is no longer visible in the Dutch version.
Finally, I've note that my woocommerce multilingual plugin is not recognized - despite it being installed on the server and working. Version: 5.3.2
Thanks for your update. I would need to look closely at your site, so I would need to request temporary access (WP-Admin and FTP) Preferably to a test site where the problem has been replicated.
Your answer will be private, meaning only you and I can access it.
❌ Please backup your database and website ❌
✙ I would need your permission to de-activate and re-activate the Plugins and the Theme and change configurations on the site. This is also a reason the backup is critical.
✙ I also need your permission to take a local copy of your site to debug the issue without affecting your live site.
It's great to hear that the issue is fixed 🙂. Please don't hesitate to open a new ticket if you face any other issues. We are always happy to help you.
