This thread is resolved. Here is a description of the problem and solution.

Problem:
The client was experiencing an issue with a custom post type 'project' on their German website using WPML for English translations. While one post displayed the English translation correctly, the other resulted in a blank page, and any new posts of this type also did not show content in English.
Solution:
We recommended the client to directly edit the English language page of the problematic post and then resave it by clicking on the update button. This action resolved the issue, and the English translation displayed correctly.

If you're experiencing a similar issue with custom post types and translations resulting in a blank page, we recommend you try the following steps:
1. Navigate to the problematic post in the WordPress admin area.
2. Switch to the English version of the post.
3. Click on the 'Update' button to resave the post.

Please note that this solution might be irrelevant if it's outdated or not applicable to your case. If the issue persists, we highly recommend checking related known issues, verifying the version of the permanent fix, and confirming that you have installed the latest versions of themes and plugins. Should you need further assistance, please do not hesitate to open a new support ticket. You can reach our support forum here.

Hi,
I’m working on a German website (hidden link) and I use WPML for the English translation. The site uses the ACF plugin to define the input fields for the content.
Everything is working fine, except for one thing: I have a custom post type “project” and two posts of this type are published. One shows the English translations but the other one just shows a blank page when I switch to English.
I just can’t figure out what the difference between the two posts is. Also when I add a new post of this post type, it also doesn’t show any content in English.
Any ideas?

Hi there,

Thanks for reaching us.

I will need to closely examine your website. Therefore, I will require temporary access (WP-Admin and FTP) to a test site where the problem has been replicated, if possible. This will enable me to provide better assistance and determine if any configurations need to be modified.

Please note that it is important to have a backup for security purposes and to prevent any potential data loss. You can use the UpdraftPlus plugin (https://wordpress.org/plugins/updraftplus/) to fulfill your backup requirements.

Your upcoming reply will be treated with confidentiality and will only be visible to you and me.

✙ To resolve the issue, I may need your consent to deactivate and reactivate plugins and the theme, as well as make configuration changes on the site if necessary. This emphasizes the significance of having a backup.

Upon reviewing your debug information, I have observed that the PHP limit for your "WP Memory Limit" is lower than the recommended 256MB or the required 128MB, as mentioned in the documentation found at: https://wpml.org/home/minimum-requirements/. To resolve this, I kindly request that you contact your hosting provider and request an increase in the PHP value for you.

Yes, it's working fine on the staging site now and I was also able to reproduce it on the production site!
I hadn't tried switching the language to english first and then updating the page. I always started with the german page and then just updated the english translation which didn't work in this case.
Thanks a lot for your help!
