[Resolved] Translated page shows PAGE COULD NOT BE FOUND.
This thread is resolved. Here is a description of the problem and solution.
Problem: The client was unable to translate the homepage because it was showing as already translated, and when attempting to view the page, a 'PAGE COULD NOT BE FOUND' error appeared. Solution: We resolved the issue by restoring the page translations that were incorrectly placed in the Trash. The translations should have been drafts in the secondary language, but instead, they were found in the Trash. After restoring them, the pages are now working properly. We recommend the client to review the restored translations to ensure the problem is solved.

Hi Marieke,
Thanks for your contact!
Could you please try to go to WPML -> Translation Management -> Dashboard and resend this job to translation? Then, just go to the WPML -> Translations queue and check again.
If the problem remains, please follow these steps:
- Just to be safe, make sure to have a website backup before proceeding
- Go to WPML -> Support in your admin dashboard
- Click the “troubleshooting” link bellow the plugin versions list
- Look for the “Clean up” section and hit these buttons:
# Clear the cache in WPML
# Remove ghost entries from the translation tables
# Fix element_type collation
# Synchronize local job ids with ATE jobs
# Synchronize translators and translation managers with ATE
# Set language information
# Fix post type assignment for translations
- Go to your affected page, and do a minor modification to the original language content
- Try to translate that page again and see if it'll work fine this time
I did the clean up and made a change to the text, but the problem is not solved. I also can't find it in the translation queue. At first it was only showing a white screen and now only two pages. I can't upload a screen recording, so I uploaded a screenshot of the white screen I see.

Hello,
I would like to request temporary access (wp-admin and FTP) to your site to take a better look at the issue. You will find the needed fields for this below the comment area when you log in to leave your next reply. The information you will enter is private which means only you and I can see and have access to it.
Our Debugging Procedures
I will be checking various settings in the backend to see if the issue can be resolved. Although I won't be making changes that affect the live site, it is still good practice to backup the site before providing us access. In the event that we do need to debug the site further, I will duplicate the site and work in a separate, local development environment to avoid affecting the live site.
- Please make a backup of site files and database before providing us access.
- If you do not see the wp-admin/FTP fields this means your post & website login details will be made PUBLIC. DO NOT post your website details unless you see the required wp-admin/FTP fields. If you do not, please ask me to enable the private box. The private box looks like this: hidden link
Please, let me know if you need any additional details. Have a nice day.

Hi there,
Thanks for providing the credentials.
Just to make sure, do we have your authorization to make a copy of the website and migrate it into another server? In order to perform more complex tests without compromising the live production.

Hello again,
I have double-checked the problem, but so far I haven't been able to find a fix. I asked my colleagues to take a look to see if there's anything I'm missing.
I'll come back here as soon as one of them answers me (which shouldn't take long). Thank you in advance for your patience!

Hi Marieke,
Thanks for your patience.
We're pleased to inform that the issue has been fixed. The page translations (reviews) which are supposed to be draft in secondary language were in trash - we simply restored the page from the Trash and it's working properly.
Please review it and let us know if it is solved indeed. Thank you.
