1. We have a product category slug "kategorie" (German base) that is translated to "category" (French).
2. We've checked in the WPML backend that the translation of that taxonomy was enabled and correct.
3, We also confirm that this link works correctly on the French (translated page):
hidden link
4. And this link doesn't work (as expected):
hidden link
5. However on the translated pages (French), the links to product categories are wrong. See e.g.:
hidden link
You can find the incorrect link there:
hidden link
6. We've checked that in the Advanced Translation Editor, the link is locked as managed by WPML.
7. We've run the Update internal links tool with no effect.
8. We've resaved permalinks and re-run the tool with no effect.
Can you examine the problem and fix the internal product category links on translated pages?

Hi,

When I edited the page in Divi, I noticed that the link to the product category is a relative link. Please see the attached screenshot relative-link.jpg. So I inserted the full link like this: hidden link. Then, in the Advanced Translation Editor, I clicked the padlock icon and replaced the link with the correct absolute French link: hidden link. Please see the attached screenshot, absolute-link.jpg. Unfortunately, even this did not solve the problem.

Next, please, try the troubleshooting section.

1. Take a backup of the DB of your site.

2. Go to WPML -> Support -> Troubleshooting (link)

3. Once on the troubleshooting screen, press the following buttons and check if it helps. Press each button at a time and wait for the process to complete.

- 'Disable cache for language switcher templates'

- 'Synchronize posts taxonomies' for 'Products'

- 'Clear the cache in WPML'

- 'Remove ghost entries from the translation tables'

- 'Fix element_type collation'

- 'Fix WPML tables collation'

- 'Assign translation status to duplicated content'

- 'Set language information'

- 'Reset languages' Press this button only if you didn't add a custom language!

- 'Fix terms count'

- 'Fix post type assignment for translations'

- 'Cleanup and optimize string tables'

- 'Clear invalid strings'

*** Please make a backup of your database before using this.***

Thanks,
Itamar.
