- The translation from English to German only partially makes it to the frontend. Some texts remain in English on the German page.
- There are English texts in the Advanced Translation Editor that are not the same as what's on the page. It seems like an old version.
- Some English texts are completely missing in the Advanced Translation Editor, so they could not be translated at all.
Thanks a lot! I disabled all caching plugins, not only Object Cache Pro, but that didn't make a difference. If it did, I'd expect issues on other pages as well, but it was only one page.
Then I did as you recommended. When I edited the translation (last step), I noticed that the Advanced Translation Editor was now missing about 25% of all translations. That were the ones that showed up in English on the German page.
That is weird, because we checked the Advanced Translation Editor earlier, and then it contained 100% of the translations. However, WPML kept saying that the translation job was "in progress". We even copied all (100%) translated texts to a separate document to make sure we didn't lose them. I now used that document to copy the texts back into the Advanced Translation Editor.
Now, the page is fixed! But it's really strange what happened here: we had 100% translated in the ATE, yet it showed only 75% of it in the frontend. Any idea how WPML lost 25% of the translations? Issues like this make me pretty nervous as a lot of time and money goes into these translations. Randomly losing translations should not ever be possible.
Thank you for confirming that the original issue is resolved now.
The issue might be because of the cache again, that the old job didn't contain all the text. Can you please try updating the page a few times and then see if the issue repeats, if yes, let me know the page URL so that I can look further into the translation JOB for the URL to see what could be the issue here.
I think you are right and this is again Object Cache Pro related. Here's what we found during a test with Object Cache Pro enabled:
1. Added a new sentence "Here's a test" to a paragraph.
2. Assigned a translation job to myself to translate the new text.
3. The new text is visible on the English page (see attached).
4. The new translated text is not visible at all on the German page, and the rest of the paragraph is now English! (see attached)
5. Meanwhile, the Advanced Translation Editor shows all texts correctly and 100% completion (see attached).
In this case, the problem was fixed after disabling Object Cache Pro, going into the ATE, make no changes, and click Complete. This didn't work for the original issue I reported here. We actually lost a lot of translated texts in that case and had to enter it again.
The URL of the test page is:
English: hidden link
German: hidden link
Note that these issues did not occur when we made changes to English, and translated to German directly in the ATE (so not via a translation job). Even with Object Cache Pro enabled.
Also worth noting is that this particular problem happened only on this page, so far. We have translated many other pages/posts and didn't see this issue before (let's hope we didn't overlook). But we do have many issues with WPML if Object Cache Pro is enabled: https://wpml.org/forums/topic/object-cache-pro-causing-wpml-issues/
Please remove the above URLs and the attachments when you no longer need them.
Thank you for the inconvenience caused due to the issue and thank you for updating us with the details.
And yes, this seems related to the object cache as well. Since you fixed the original post manually now there is not much we can test. The ATE side of the test page you sent seems to be fine as well. So let us know if this issue recoccurs along with the page URL of the issue and we can look into the issue further for you.

Subash
