[Resolved] Translations can't be published, stuck in translation job queue although its at 100%
This thread is resolved. Here is a description of the problem and solution.
Problem: You have set up WPML on your site and configured it to publish translations immediately and skip reviews, designating yourself as the local translator. However, translations are stuck in the translation job queue at 100%, and upon saving, the status remains as a 'gear' icon, indicating a need for review by a local translator, creating an endless loop where you cannot publish translations. Solution: We recommend performing a reset of the WPML settings. Please navigate to WPML --> Support --> Troubleshooting --> Reset. After resetting, reconfigure your settings and check if the issue with publishing translations is resolved. If this solution does not resolve your issue or seems outdated, we highly recommend checking related known issues at https://wpml.org/known-issues/, verifying the version of the permanent fix, and confirming that you have installed the latest versions of themes and plugins. If the problem persists, please open a new support ticket at WPML support forum for further assistance.

Background of the issue:
I have set up two sites with WPML easily, but it somehow appears to not work on schwimmkanal.ch. I have set up the plugin and connected it to the WPML licence server. I then set it up to publish translations immediately and to skip reviews, and set the local translator as myself.
Symptoms:
Translations can't be published, stuck in translation job queue although it's at 100%. Upon save, it still has the 'gear' icon as status and tells me it needs a local translator to review it, which brings me in an endless loop of being unable to publish a translation.
Questions:
What could be the cause of the bug? My goal is to enable automatic translations for my pages

Hi there!
This is Paola and I hope you are well.
I have deleted the wordpress credentials as you have added in public.
The website as blocked and that was the reason why the translations were in progress. I have unblocked the website. Please try to deactivate any cache o security plugins and try again to translate a page.
If the problem persists, I would like to request temporary access (wp-admin and FTP) to your site to take a better look at the issue. You will find the needed fields for this below the comment area when you log in to leave your next reply. The information you will enter is private which means only you and I can see and have access to it.
**IMPORTANT**
- Please make a backup of the site files and database before providing us access.
- If you do not see the wp-admin/FTP fields this means your post & website login details will be made PUBLIC. DO NOT post your website details unless you see the required wp-admin/FTP fields. If you do not, please ask me to enable the private box.
The private box looks like this: hidden link
unfortunately, the issue still persists. It's weird that the site was blocked but upon some investigating, it appears WPML was once installed on the site a couple of years ago. Maybe this could be related on why the translations can't be published and are stuck on the "waiting for translator" stage?
I realised I have accidentally pasted the credentials publicly before - won't happen again 😉
I can't see the private information box in my post replies. All I have is the ability to upload an image and a textarea :/
The only other security measure running is wordfence, which can be disabled temporarily if you need to. I tested it before without it but the translations didn't went through either.
Hosting-wise, the other sites on my account all use the same hoster so the setup should be identical.
Are there maybe some old plugin tables or similar causing issues since it was already installed once over a couple of years ago.
The only other thing we could try is perhaps a full reset of it, but other than that, I'm also all out of ideas :/
In case it helps, i noticed we are now getting some error logs regarding "ATE Server Communication" and translation jobs queue has a post that has "in editing - pending update" which can't be removed. Perhaps that is the culprit of the issue?
That some translation that can't be processed blocks the queue and prevents them from finishing properly?
