Hi there, I'm the supporter taking over this ticket for Alejandro. To save time, can you please add my as a user or update the email so that I can get the verification code to login? My email is lauren.j@onthegosystems.com.

As soon as I have the code I'll login and look. Do I have permission to create a test page with some test blocks? Please let me know.

Thank you!

I've changed the email address of the user Alejandro was using.

You should get a reset link email shortly.

That user is already an admin.

The site is pre-PROD, so feel free to create test pages as needed.

Thanks for updating the email, I was able to login. I noticed that the translation for Athletics had a status of in progress. I went into the original language and added some content (test) at the end of the paragraph. I then opened up the translation editor, and I could see the word test in the translation editor. I translated it to test test, made sure the translation showed 100% and saved the change. Now I can see the translations on the frontend here: hidden link

I also did the same on the original URL, and added a space after the word Beginning. This trigered an update for the just checked hidden link and I'm seeing the body in Spanish as well.

If there are any other pages you are seeing this issue on, please make a small change to the page in English and then update the translation. If it doesn't resolve the issue, let me know and I"ll look further into it. Oh also make sure you purge the cache and check in an incognito browser if you are still seeing it incorrectly.

That's what I was doing: add text to a paragraph, save, translate to 100%, save. Even in Alejandro's video the issue was recorded.

However, I did not try adding a paragraph.

This is what I did now and is working: add a paragraph, save, translate to 100%, save, delete the paragraph, save, translate, save.

Did you do anything else?

What could've caused this issue in the first place?

Forgot to add that all the pages that had the issue are not working as expected.

I just need to know if we have any idea what caused this in the first place so we can avoid the problem.

I actually did not add a paragraph, I just added a word into the content, or even a space at the end of the title, and that resolved it for me. It could be a caching issue. You can try disabling the caching plugin and clear browser and server side cache and see if the issue remains? Does it also happen when you create new pages?

Can't disable the cache plugin. That is built into WP VIP. I did try to clear the server and browser caches and it wasn't working. I also tried an incognito/private browser session and that didn't work either.

All of a sudden today it worked. Very concerning.

Did you check Alejandro's video? Around 1:32 I think you can one of the issues I was having. I explained it in my previous post.

Haven't checked with new pages given the website was completed once the translator was brought in.

So maybe this caused some kind of disconnect?

After the site was done, I activated WPML and I did the translations. Everything was working fine.

Then I added the corporate translator and she did fixes and revisions to my translations. Given everything was already in English, she went directly to the translations and made all the fixes/changes there. This is when it started to behave strangely.

Maybe even if it's just translations we're going to need to add some dummy change to ensure the connection remains?

I am still unable to reproduce the issue, and without being able to reproduce it, it's hard to determine what the cause could be. If the original post was edited while the translation was in progress, that could have caused the issue. But again, since I can't see the issue happening anymore, I can't say for sure. If the issue does return, please feel free to open up a new chat and refernce this ticket and we will be happy to take another look.

Understood. I will keep this in mind.
