Additionally, I have a question about translating the contact form on this page: hidden link. I don’t see the translation option in the editor for that specific page.

Could you let me know how I can translate it?

Do this to get rid of those "orange" segments:

- go to WPML> translation management
- send the page to translate again.
- try to add a character to the segments in yellow (change it in any way)
- save them again
- see if they turn green now
- if they do, you can change it to the correct translation and save it again.

This should do it.

Our Devs told me they were working on something to prevent this and it should be released to our production servers at the beginning of January 🙂

Regards.

I managed to translate almost the entire website! However, I still have two questions:

First of all, I’m wondering how I can translate this response in the contact form (I’m using Contact Form 7). When I look in the translation app, the responses don’t appear in the translations. Link: hidden link. These responses still need to be translated:

Paleisje Noordwijk (een jacuzzi kan worden bijgeboekt)
Chateau Noordwijk
Geen voorkeur

This needs to be in both German and English.

My other question is about the German homepage. For example, when I click the first "Buchen" button, I am redirected to a Dutch contact page. Ideally, I want it to redirect to a German page instead. However, I don’t see an option to adjust the link in the editor. Is there another way to solve this?

Looking forward to hearing from you!

Oh, excuse me, I have one more question.

Currently, I don’t see the flags in the mobile menu. This is important because people using a different language might not understand that clicking "Nederlands" allows them to switch to another language. Is there a way to add the flags to the mobile menu as well?

If this isn’t possible, I would prefer to display the language names in their English forms (e.g., "Dutch," "German," "English"), but I can’t figure out if or how this can be done.

Hello!

It took me a bit to understand what happened but it seems you have redirections in place! for some reason that's making ATE showing the links sometimes when it shouldn't!

It looks like at one point it was translated, but wrongly. However, when that happens all you have to do is go to WPML > Translation Management and send the page to translate again.

If you do see a link, try to add the correct translation. If possible try to check the links that you have in the homepage and add the correct one.

You can see what i mean here: hidden link

-------------------

I also tackled the other 2 issues, but I couldn't see the problem on a mobile or mobile view on the site, apart from that the contact form content was somehow appearing hidden, if you searched for it, it would appear and that's something I'll ask our devs about to see if it's on purpose or not. from the code i inspected it looked like it was.

Regards.

Hi!

Thank you so much for the clear explanation video.
I truly appreciate the time and effort you've put into investigating the issue and explaining in detail how I can resolve it.

I've now updated and corrected all the links for both languages.
I noticed that you can see the flags on mobile, but on my own phone, they don't appear. Please refer to the attached image from my previous message. I also asked other people (with iPhones) if they could see the flags, and they confirmed that they don't see them either.

I look forward to hearing from you!

Another update: also on some desktop versions the flags do not appear.

Oh, you meant the actual image of the flag! sorry about that misunderstanding on my part.

That issue is being caused by the lazy loading of your site's litespeed cache.

You can turn it off, save the changes and clear the cache of the site + the cache of your browser (or check in incognito mode while logged-out) and test if the problem continues.

I did it here: hidden link and you can see the images "returned" after the lazy loading was turned off, but the idea would be to find a way to EXCLUDE some images from lazy loading since the flags should be visible from the start.

Regards.
