Background of the issue:
I am using the advanced translator to translate pages built with Bricks. I am trying to fully translate a Bricks page, but the translator is not detecting certain hyperlinks.

Symptoms:
The translator doesn’t recognize the hyperlink correctly. When I translate the text I am forced to do it without selecting the anchor and highlighting the text because it is not detected, when I do that it turns green. However, it reverts back to orange or yellow when I move to the next text. This prevents me from fully translating the page.

Questions:
Why is the advanced translator not detecting certain hyperlinks?
How can I ensure that hyperlinks are correctly recognized and translated?

Hello,

can you please further explain or provide a video of the issue? As I understand you are trying to add a href tag to the segment that doesn't have it in ATE, if so you can not and it will not work correctly.

A tag should be showing in the default language column for you to add it to 2nd language. If not, then you can not do that.

To translate links, you need to search them and translate:

Let me know.

Hello,

great, thanks for sharing the video, that makes things much clearer, it does look like a bug.

I created a minimal installation of WordPress, WPML, and all necessary WPML add-ons, and themes.

You can access the WordPress dashboard using the link below:

- Try to replicate the issue with a simple example page.

This will help us to report the probable issue to the compatibility team and solve the possible problem faster.

Thanks for your swift response. I have copied the concerned parts of the page into the sandbox and published the page, but I was not able to replicate the issue. I was able to successfully translate the links, it also had an edit option to the links which I don't see on my WPML version although I am on the most updated one.

One thing to note, I am unable to turn the REST enabled to YES, it shows as No on the WPML support page. I am not sure if that has a major effect on this, however I followed the instructions on how to test it, and it seemed to be enabled. You can check this link with my dev site URL: hidden link

It does return json.

If you would like access to my site I can provide you with admin access on a private message or email if possible.

Thank you

Hello,

thanks for getting back.

Sure, let me have a look at your website, if possible provide access to the staging site since I would need to disable plugins and switch themes to check what is wrong and what happens.

Please make a backup before proceeding.

I have enabled private fields for you.

Regards,
Drazen
