Hi Daniel,

We had detailed checking with you Duplicator copy and also verified the data in our Translation Editor. As per our data, you created a fresh copy of the site on September 16, 2023, 23:07. This results in the loss of the translation memory & translation of pages. We have a couple of questions to track this.

1) How do you create the new copy of the site on September 16, via a backup?

2) Do you still have access to hidden link. If so, is it possible to copy the site to the new domain?

Dear Guys,

We definitely have not done anything with the site on September 16th. The only thing we tried on 18th is to remove and re-add the site to my WPML account.

As I have written in my second message we have tried to recover the site with this method:

We have backups so we can restore to 14th or 15th September, if that helps.

I don't understand your second question. hidden link and hidden link are the same, we have full access, can restore back to two weeks (both database and files).

Sorry to say that, but it starts to be annoying, we are unable to use the site more than one week. Can we talk (Google Meet, Zoom, etc...) to speed this up?

Dear Bigul,

Our hosting provider has backups up to 30 days. So we can restore to previous state or send the database dumps/wordpress files if that helps.
We tried not to modify the the site, but there are a few urgent things that needs to be fixed. Is it ok to update at least the pages or shall we wait until ATE team finishes?

Thank you for the updates. Kindly hold the site changes, until this is resolved. We have to find the actual reasons for the translation loss before updating.

We have a request. Please try the following steps and let us know your feedback. It will help us to make sure the translation memory exists and track the issue.

1) Login to the hidden link
2) Open an English Post or Page(like About Us) for editing
3) Click on the Translation's Pencil Icon of the WPML Language widget(On the right side of the edit screen)
4) Then verify the complete Turkish translation is showing in the WPML Advanced Translation Editor

Nothing has changed. I have uploaded to new videos. One is about opening ATE for two pages the way you asked. Still a lot of missing translations.
Second is for a Course where ATE did not even open. Still the same. If I try the suggested method, simply nothing happens, the course re-appears (shown in the video)

I don't understand why opening ATE from different admin places would recover translations.
Does ATE store the sentence translations (segments) locally in the MySQL databases or these segment translations are stored only at your side?

By the way, feel free (either you or the ATE team) to enter the website at any time, and try to translate. This why we provided access, in the hope that we can speed up this recovery.
Still we are open for a call, soon it is the second week that we can not edit the Turkish website

Thank you for the updates. I have shared it with our team. We will get back to you soon. The Advanced Translation Editor Memrory is stored on our server. It will not lose normally. But in your case something is missing, we are trying to find out.

Hi Daniel,

We have executed a fix to resolve this bug. Please try the following steps and make sure the translation memory exists for the pages or not.

1) Visit WPML>>Translation Management Dashboard
2) Choose Pages like About Us, which you want to translate or update the existing translations
3) Send it to Translation Basket
4) Visit WPML>>Translation Management>>Translation Basket
5) Send it for translation, by choosing yourself as a translator
6) Visit WPML>>Translations queue and translate the page by clicking the *Translate* button
7) Check the translated contents are showing for the page in Advanced Translation Editor or not
