Hi There,
Thanks for contacting WPML Support.

We have successfully replicated the issue you're experiencing, and it appears to be specific to environments running WordPress versions older than 5.9.0. Our development team has been working on this and has identified a temporary workaround. The most effective solution at the moment is to downgrade the WPML plugin to version 4.6.8, as this version does not exhibit the problem.

To downgrade to WPML 4.6.8, please visit the following link: https://wpml.org/download/wpml-multilingual-cms/?section=changelog. Here, you can download version 4.6.8 of the plugin. Once downloaded, install and activate it on your WordPress site.

We recommend continuing to use this version of the WPML plugin until we can release a permanent fix for the issue. Additionally, we are in the process of preparing an Errata regarding this issue, which will be published shortly. We recommend keeping an eye on the Errata for any further updates. Rest assured, you will be promptly notified as soon as the Errata is made available.

Please let me know if there is anything else you need help with. I will be happy to assist.

Best regards,
Prosenjit
